Biography
Dr Emily See is a Consultant Intensivist and Nephrologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne, an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research at Monash University, and an Honorary Fellow in the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Her clinical and research expertise lies within acute kidney injury, extracorporeal blood purification, sepsis, and vasopressor therapy.
Dr See is a National Health and Medical Research Council Emerging Leader and a Jacquot Research Establishment Fellow. She has over 110 publications in high impact medical journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, British Medical Journal, and The Lancet. She has delivered >60 invited presentations at national and international scientific meetings and has received more than $8 million in competitive research funding to support the conduct of NEPTUNE, ARAMIS, MEGA-SCORES, SODaBIC, and HOME-AKI research programs. She is ranked in the Top 1% worldwide for her expertise in biomedical topics including acute kidney injury (Top 0.19%) and renal insufficiency (0.31%) (http://expertscape.com) and has served as Invited Faculty for the 28th, 30th, 31st, and 32nd and 33rd Acute Disease Quality Initiatives.
